Title: His dreams

Sasha stood frozen in the doorway, her heart racing as she took in the sight of the young man who lay before . His face, though marred with bruises and a bandage wrapped tightly around his head, radiated a strange kind of beauty, reminiscent of a sleeping prince from one of her own stories.

Elisa moved beside her, her face a mask of regret and sorrow. "What have I done?" she whispered again, her voice barely above a breath.

Sasha turned to her sister, feeling the weight of her pain. "Elisa, we need to be strong. He needs us to be strong." Her voice, though shaky, held a determination that surprised even herself.

With a deep breath Sasha approached the bedside, her heart aching for the unknown life that lay before her. She reached out and touched the back of his hand, the warmth of his skin contrasting sharply with the coldness of the room. The touch of his hand on hers made her heart flutter and she felt some strange feelings .

"Please wake up," she murmured, though she knew he couldn't hear her. "You have to wake up."

As if responding to her silent plea, the machines beside him beeped steadily, a rhythmic reminder of his fragile existence. Suddenly, a soft voice interrupted her thoughts. “He’s a fighter, you know.”

Sasha turned to see a nurse entering the room. Her name tag read “Nina,” and her warm brown eyes held a spark of hope. “I’ve been here since the accident. He’s shown signs of resilience. He just needs time."

Elisa, still standing at the door, stepped forward. "Do you… do you know him? What’s his name?” There was a glimmer of curiosity in her voice, mixed with apprehension.

Nina smiled gently. “His name is Adrian. He’s a student at the university. Very bright—studying astrophysics, actually. He was on his way to a lecture when the accident happened.”

Astrophysics. The word resonated with Sasha, pulling her mind back to her own passions. “He’s a writer too, isn’t he?” she asked suddenly. “He must have so many dreams.”

Nina nodded, her expression softening. “Yes, he’s written a few papers. He has a promising future ahead of him. But for now, we just have to focus on keeping him stable.”

Sasha felt a swell of something inside her, a connection that she couldn’t quite place. “Can we stay with him?”

“Of course,” Nina replied, a hint of surprise in her eyes. “I'll bring in extra chairs.”

As the nurse left, Sasha turned back to Elisa, who was now staring at Adrian as if he were a puzzle she desperately wanted to solve. “What if he doesn’t remember anything?” Elisa blurted out, her voice tinged with panic.

Sasha placed a calming hand on her sister’s shoulder. “We’ll figure it out together. He’ll need family—friends—when he wakes up. And you’ll be there for him, I promise.”

Hours passed, and as the sun dipped below the horizon outside the hospital window.Sasha began to read aloud from one of her own stories, her voice a gentle balm against the sterile silence.

“Elisa, do you remember that story I wrote about the stars?” Sasha began, her mind drifting to her own dreams of the cosmos. “The one where the hero finds a hidden world beyond the stars?”

Elisa nodded, her eyes still fixed on Adrian. “Yeah, it was beautiful. You said it was about hope.”

“Yes,” Sasha replied, a smile tugging at her lips. “And maybe that’s what we need right now. Hope. For him. For us.”

Just then, a soft groan escaped from Adrian’s lips, and Sasha’s storytelling halted abruptly. Both sisters leaned forward, their breath caught in their throats.

Sasha was surprised. This voice from Adrian's mouth was replaying in her mind continually. It almost felt like an angel is whispering good things to her . But she snapped out and called the nurse to check on him. Nurse after checking machines said."there is nothing to worry about ,when a person is in temporary coma he often dreams about something and he might be dreaming about something."

Elisha said,"I thought he was going to wake up, and I was happy for a minute. Right Sasha ?"

Sasha looking at Adrian replied,"ya, very happy."In her mind she thought, what kind of dream he must be having ? Is it scary? oh!why am I feeling pain in my chest by just thinking about those dreams he must be having.
